Can L(Death Note) solve the Jigsaw Case(Saw) ? - Battles - Comic Vine (2025)

With ease. Really with ease. This is a mismatch.

• Serious Jigsaw, he is not leaving any clues like he did in other movies to allow the police to find him.

• L joins the case after the first death in Saw 2

• He has perfect cooperation with the police

• Jigsaw is not aware of L's involvement in the case

@joviolma: Yup XD. Nah just kidding. The last part was a joke. But still it is a unfair scenario. L was able to almost solve a case which had supernormal rules and abilities to it. If there wouldn't be some fake rules added to the Death Note he would have solved it. Here we have a normal serial killer with incredible level of intellect but his pattern are the same over his crimes. This would make Jigsaw more predictable and without any supernatural abilities involved it wouldn't be something L couldn't figure out

@joviolma: i belive yes. Because as soon as he saw different pattern to the murder cases in Death Note he insantly knew that there is another Kira. And in the Saw movies normal FBI agents were able to see the difference in crimes. So L would be able to see that aswell.

L wouldn't even show a reaction lol.

When he first gets introduced in the anime and he figures out almost exactly where light lives right off the bat I knew he was real. L for sure

I don't think he can. To do so he has to get his hands dirty, which is not his style.

I was also more impressed by Jigsaws intellect feats anyways.

I remember it was stated that John was a major engineer/architect in the area and the locations of every murder scene was a location that he worked on and had access to. Sure I think you can write it off as "random out of way location" but take in account the technological know how of the traps, something that joe average couldn't pull off. Hoffman made a pendulum, fairly basic compared to some of the other traps. Also a good portion of the Jigsaw victims where patients of the place his ex wife worked at and the miscarriage should be on file, seeing it was caused by armed robbery. Motive and Means. Really the cops should have had a hunch well before he spelled it out for them. Granted I'm no detective and I'm working with all the knowledge.

This.... Is actually a good thread. I'd say he can solve it with relative ease, as other people have said he essentially solved a case which contained paranormal and godlike elements, and has solved every other case he's ever undertaken.

But the fact that the OP states jigsaw won’t leave any clues on purpose makes me doubtful.

Yeah, he honestly probably wouldn't have too much trouble either imho.

Yeah and it wouldn't take him very long to either. Jigsaw's apprentices left behind far too much evidence. Especially when they cheated and made sure some of the participants couldn't actually win.

If it was just Jigsaw himself that'd be pretty interesting. I'm not sure what all he'd have to put together to connect the dots and figure out Jigsaw's true identity. But he should be able to do it as I don't think Jigsaw's genius is above the Death Note shenanigans. I don't think he'd actually be able to STOP the games though. Identifying Jigsaw wouldn't have been enough to actually stop him.
